MAURO SIGURA ELECTRIC QUARTET

DUNIA

DUNIA represents a bold fusion of sounds and styles. The project’s name, meaning “Woman” or “Mother” in some archaic cultures, reflects its exploration of universal themes through music. Sigura’s oud adapts to an electric context, creating a unique soundscape that blends jazz, fusion, Middle Eastern music, rock, and psychedelic elements. The album seeks to bridge the gap between the particular and the universal, offering clear, incisive melodies set against a rich, layered sonic backdrop. This approach results in a sound that is both accessible and profoundly complex, inviting listeners to discover new depths with each listening.
